As a Commercial Lines Field Underwriter at Integrity Insurance, you will lead the underwriting strategy, customer service and renewal negotiations within an assigned territory in Central to Eastern IA while developing and maintaining a positive working relationship with our agents. You will strive for profitable underwriting results through appropriate risk selection, agency relations and book management. This is a work from home opportunity; the ideal candidate will be based in IA but there can be flexibility with geographic region. What you will be doing: Select new risks and place reinsurance as within your authority Assist the Territory Sales Managers in prospecting, evaluating and developing new agencies Develop effective relationships with agents to meet product goals Responsible for agency travel to increase producer awareness of Integrity products Develop/maintain knowledge of policy forms, coverages, rating plans and manuals for all lines of business Establish, implement and monitor annual business plans for agencies in your territory
Job RequirementsWhat you will bring to the table: Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5-7 years of commercial lines underwriting experience Experience working with large agencies Professional insurance designation preferred (e.g. CPCU) Extraordinary negotiation skills, along with the ability to deal with conflict and challenging situations Exceptional communication, organizational and analytical skills Strong attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Office products Ability to build effective relationships At Integrity Insurance, we don’t just accept difference - we celebrate it, we support it and we thrive on it for the benefit of our associates, our products and our community.
