Plan, organize and evaluate our annual convention. This includes recommending dates and locations to our Board of Directors and planning the entertainment, educational programs, social events, etc. This committee also plans our popular Winter Get-Away gathering in Minocqua and the activities that span three days.
Responsible for setting the location, date and speakers for the Certified Insurance Counselors, Certified Insurance Service Representative and Certified Professional Insurance Agent programs. They are also responsible for evaluating and maintaining the quality of these programs. This committee also evaluates the changing education needs of members and plans other education seminars held throughout the year.
Monitors and reports to the membership any legislative or regulatory actions on the state or national level which could have an impact on independent agents. They also advise the Board on public policy matters. The committee is led by an appointed chairperson in conjunction with the elected National Director.
Organizes our annual golf outing that funds $25,000 in annual scholarships for college students in majors relevant to the insurance industry. Evaluates scholarship applications and awards scholarship funds.
Organizes our annual sporting clays fundraiser, which raises money for our political action committee. The funds raised by this committee protect our industry by supporting candidates for public office who support our members and the IA channel.
