2025 Ron Von Haden Agent of the Year: Steve Albinger

The Professional Insurance Agents of Wisconsin (PIAW) is proud to announce Steve Albinger of Couri Insurance Associates in Waukesha as the 2025 recipient of the Ron Von Haden Agent of the Year Award! This prestigious award, named after the late Ron Von Haden, a long-time leader in the Wisconsin insurance community, annually recognizes an agent who demonstrates exceptional commitment to the insurance industry, independent agents, and PIA of Wisconsin.

Steve’s insurance career should be celebrated. He has worked in the P&C independent insurance channel for more than 40 years. Early in his career he worked on the carrier side for one national and one regional carrier. For more than 25 years now, he has worked at Couri Insurance Associates, where he is an owner and Chief Operating Officer.

In Steve’s time at Couri, he has helped countless insurance professionals start their own agencies and taught them how to be successful. He has shown hundreds of aspiring business owners the path to the American Dream and thereby helped make the independent agent channel stronger in the process.

Steve currently serves as an officer in PIA of Wisconsin, having been just elected to his third term on the Board of Directors and named President by his peers on the Board. Steve has also been a leader for PIA on the Scholarship Golf Outing Committee, helping to raise scholarship money for young people pursuing careers in the insurance industry.

Steve also serves as a director on the Board for Badger Mutual Insurance Company, and he has served on the agent councils of literally dozens of the Midwest’s most prominent insurance companies.

PIAW is honored to recognize Steve Albinger as our 2025 Ron Von Haden Agent of the Year. His dedication to our industry, his fellow agents and the PIA of Wisconsin is an inspiration to us all.
